La Burgogne (the Burgundy region), is famous for its vineyards, but also the Morvan forest with its regional natural park, and the architecture of the towns with their ironwork, the dormers and gables, weathervanes and roofs of uniquely glazed tiles. To see, Vézelay for its basilica, Fontenay for its abbey, the town of Dijon, former capital of the Dukes of Burgundy with the palace of the dukes, and the Hotel Dieu de Beaune (museum).
